Steve McCurry arrived in Porto Cervo for the 5th edition of the Longevity Fest Costa Smeralda 2026, an event dedicated to the culture of longevity, on the occasion of the presentation of the Costa Smeralda Longevity Award.

The award, which each year honors an international figure who has distinguished themselves for the impact, continuity, and legacy of their personal and professional journey, was presented by the director and founder of the Costa Smeralda Longevity Fest, Pietro Mereu, and representatives of the Costa Smeralda Consortium—the initiative’s promoter alongside Smeralda Holding

During this awards ceremony, four previously unpublished photographs by the American photographer, taken in Porto Cervo, were also presented, capturing the beauty of the Costa Smeralda: the Capo Ferro Lighthouse, the Capo Ferro promontory, the Church of Stella Maris, and the Arch of Cala Romantica.
