Arzachena celebrates spring with the Pasquetta Sound Festival

Three days of music, Gallura traditions, and contemporary art to kick off the tourist season in the heart of Sardinia

Arzachena is getting ready to welcome spring with an event that combines entertainment, local identity, and a contemporary vision. From April 4 to 6, the Pasquetta Sound Festival returns, organized by the Municipality of Arzachena in collaboration with the Sardinia Region’s Department of Tourism and Crafts. This second edition promises to be even more ambitious, capable of transforming the destination into a sprawling stage where music, gastronomy, and art interact with the local landscape.

“The Pasquetta Sound Festival is our manifesto for spring,” says Mayor Roberto Ragnedda, emphasizing the desire to position Arzachena as an experiential destination beyond the summer season. A project that looks to the future of tourism, showcasing a unique heritage: 88 kilometers of coastline and over 6,000 years of history, told through extraordinary archaeological sites such as the Tomb of the Giants at Coddu Ecchju, the Nuragic village of La Prisgiona, and the Malchittu temple, which will be exceptionally open to the public even during the Easter holidays.

The festival kicks off Saturday, April 4 in the historic center with one of the most anticipated events: the inauguration of the 11th edition of the Scalinata di Santa Lucia. The 2026 installation, created by Turin-based Truly Design Crew, is titled Upwards and draws inspiration from the Fibonacci sequence, transforming the staircase into an immersive installation that blends urban art and mathematics. Over the years, this project has established itself as a powerful tool for local marketing, generating millions of interactions on social media.

The day continues in Piazza Risorgimento with Isola in Festa, a show led by Giuliano Marongiu alongside Mi La Band, celebrating Sardinian culture through music and tradition. At the same time, the town center comes alive with authentic culinary experiences: from gastronomic archaeology workshops curated by Maria Antonietta Mazzone, dedicated to the so-called “paste gioiello,” to tastings of Easter specialties such as formaggelle (li casgiatini) and roast meat.

Sunday, April 5, the festival moves to Cannigione, where Parco Riva Azzurra becomes a gathering place for families and visitors. Starting at 4:00 PM, there will be children’s games and a craft market, in a relaxed atmosphere that highlights the destination’s most authentic and convivial side.

The highlight comes on Monday, April 6 with the big free concert at Parco Riva Azzurra. Starting at 2:00 PM, a musical marathon will kick off, featuring some of the most beloved voices on the Italian music scene: Francesca Michielin, Fedez, and Manuelito. Fedez, fresh off his chart-topping success and the excellent reception he received at Sanremo with Male necessario alongside Marco Masini, will bring his energy and his latest repertoire to the stage. Joining him is Francesca Michielin, a refined and intense artist capable of moving audiences with iconic songs like Cigno nero and L’amore esiste. Rounding out the lineup is the urban sound of Manuelito, producer and driving force behind the Machete collective, a symbol of a constantly evolving music scene.

Striking a successful balance between tradition and modernity, Arzachena kicks off the season with a festival that showcases an authentic, welcoming, and dynamic Sardinia. An invitation to discover the region at a time of year that is still intimate and special, far from the summer crowds yet already brimming with energy and beauty.
