Taste of Sardinia by Cala di Volpe: Sardinian flavors take center stage in Doha
Sardinia arrives in the heart of the Middle East
The Taste of Sardinia project was created for those who wanted to relive the unforgettable culinary experiences offered by the Hotel Cala di Volpe, even after returning home from their summer holidays. This initiative has taken the kitchen brigade of the iconic Sardinia hotel from one end of the world to the other. A journey marked by exclusivity and culinary excellence, which since 2010 has taken the ambassadors of Hotel Cala di Volpe's gastronomic excellence to London, New York, Miami, Palm Beach, the Bahamas, Courchevel, Nice, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Riyadh, Moscow, Baku, and Almaty.
Cala di Volpe This year, Taste of Sardinia by Cala di Volpe presented an exceptional culinary collaboration with The Ned Doha, bringing the spirit, heritage, and flavors of Sardinia to the heart of Doha: the capital of Qatar hosted an exclusive three-day experience from January 20 to 22, 2026.
Designed as an intimate and immersive gastronomic journey, Taste of Sardinia is a unique experience inspired by the island's rich gastronomic traditions, its artisanal products, and techniques handed down over time. An experience that celebrates Sardinian culinary culture with a contemporary and refined twist, curated by the chefs of the Hotel Cala di Volpe: Maurizio Locatelli, Culinary Director, together with Michele Bacciu, Executive Chef.
Hosted in the elegant setting of The Ned Doha club, Taste of Sardinia invites guests to enjoy a gastronomic journey designed down to the smallest detail, inspired by the heritage and flavors of Sardinia, from morning until night.
During the experience, guests discovered a tailor-made menu inspired by the land and sea of Sardinia, celebrating traditional flavors, craftsmanship, and carefully selected ingredients. Each dish reflects the island's rich culinary identity, reinterpreted in a modern key and served with the warmth and authenticity that characterize Sardinian hospitality.
The collaboration brings together two destinations united by a shared commitment to excellence, heritage, and culinary experience. While Hotel Cala di Volpe is internationally celebrated for its deep connection to Sardinian culture and cuisine, The Ned Doha positions itself as a refined cultural and gastronomic hub, offering members and guests unique global experiences within an intimate private club setting.
