Porto Cervo Marina recognized by the Blue Marina Awards as one of the top marinas of 2025

The prestigious national award for excellence in tourist port facilities and superyacht services

For the third consecutive year, the Marina di Porto Cervo, one of the most prestigious and well-equipped ports in the Mediterranean, has been recognized as a benchmark of Italian tourist boating excellence, thanks to the Blue Marina Awards 2025. The award, conceived by Walter Vassallo in institutional partnership with ASSONAT – Confcommercio and with the technical support of RINA – Italian Naval Register, honors nautical facilities that stand out for sustainability, inclusion, and quality of hospitality services.

The awards ceremony took place in Genoa at the prestigious Circolo Artistico Tunnel of Palazzo Doria, a UNESCO-listed site of the Genoese Rolli, in the presence of hundreds of industry and institutional representatives. Among ports specializing in superyachts, Marina di Porto Cervo once again distinguished itself for its excellence: the award was received by Davide Cerea, CFO of Smeralda Holding and Marina di Porto Cervo.

“The recognition from the Blue Marina Awards for the third consecutive year confirms the excellence and quality that distinguish the services offered to yacht owners choosing Marina di Porto Cervo,” says Mario Ferraro, CEO of Smeralda Holding. “This award is an incentive to continue raising our high standards, with a concrete commitment especially in terms of sustainability, respecting the environment, the territory that hosts us, and the people who live in and visit it.”

Located in the heart of Gallura, Marina di Porto Cervo can accommodate approximately 600 vessels and offers exclusive services for luxury yachts up to 160 meters in length, with over 60% of its clientele coming from abroad, who typically stay in port for an average of 30 days. Operational management is entrusted to IGY Marinas, a global leader in superyacht marina management, present in around twenty exclusive marinas worldwide.

“No winners or losers: it’s a celebration of the sea, because the sea unites us, and the Blue Marina Awards were created precisely to benefit our country,” said Walter Vassallo, founder and coordinator of the Blue Marina Awards. This edition confirms that Italian tourist ports are vibrant, growing, and capable of innovating. The energy and participation we witnessed today show that the future of the blue economy has already begun, and ports will be its protagonists. The Blue Marina Awards contribute to building a competitive, sustainable, innovative, and inclusive tourist port sector."
